App x Solution (“we”, “us”, “our”) develops Shopify apps that help merchants manage and grow their stores. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you install or use any of our Shopify apps (“the App”). By installing or using the App you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information We Collect
We only collect the data necessary for the App to operate. Depending on the specific app, that may include:
- Shopify API data (via OAuth): store name, domain, shop email, Shopify store ID, and only the scopes required for the app’s features.
- Store data: products, orders, inventory, or customer data — only if the app feature explicitly requires it.
- Merchant inputs: configuration settings, preferences, and support messages you send.
We do not collect payment card numbers, passwords, or other highly sensitive personal data.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use information strictly to:
- Provide and operate the App’s core features.
- Improve and debug the App and provide customer support.
- Perform system management, security, and fraud prevention.
3. Storage & Security
We follow industry-standard security practices:
- Encrypted transport (HTTPS/TLS) for all communication.
- Secure storage with access controls and encryption at rest where applicable.
- Limited internal access and periodic security reviews.
4. Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell or rent your shop or customer data. We may share data only in limited cases:
- With service providers who help operate the App (hosting, storage, analytics) under contract and confidentiality rules.

- With Shopify as required by their API terms.
5. Data Retention & Uninstall
We retain data only as long as necessary to provide the App service. When your store uninstalls the App we receive an uninstall webhook from Shopify. After uninstall we will remove or anonymize your store data within 14–30 days, depending on app-specific requirements.

Depending on applicable law (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) you may have the right to:
- Request a copy of data we hold about your store.
- Request correction or deletion of your data.
- Request restriction of processing.

7. Customer (Shopper) Data
Some apps process customer data only when strictly required. In those cases we act as a data processor, while the merchant (you) is the data controller. Customer data is not used for marketing and is stored only for as long as necessary to provide the feature.
8. International Transfers
Your data may be processed or stored in countries other than your own. We use reputable providers and standard contractual protections when transfers occur.
9. Children’s Privacy
The App is intended for business use and not for children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 13.
10. Cookies & Tracking
The App itself does not use browser cookies to track customers across sites. Admin-facing analytics (if enabled) are limited to in-app usage metrics and do not track shopper behavior outside your store.
